How to cook a brat

Over Cooking a brat: Boiling a brat can lead to drying out and losing all the juice. The proper way is to sear a brat and keep the juice inside.

Smoked Brats:
Sear at 400 degrees for about 2 minutes on each side or 150 degrees internal temp.

Raw Brats:
Place in equal parts water and your favorite beer. Rough chop ½ raw white onion and two cloves of garlic. Simmer for 10 minutes or until 130 degrees. Remove from water and drain. Place on a grill or sauté pan to finish cooking at 400 degrees for about 2 minutes on each side or 150 degrees internal temp.
